Sherman C. Yu, MD, FACS, graduated with honors from the University of Texas and completed his medical degree at Baylor college of Medicine, again receiving high honors. He completed his residency and surgical training at the University of Colorado Health Services Center in Denver, serving as Chief Resident in Surgery. Dr. Yu has received many accolades in his field, including being recognized as one of America’s Top surgeons by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. Currently, Dr. Yu serves as Park Plaza Hospitals’ Bariatric Medical Director. Dr. Yu is a board certified surgeon and is proud to be a member of the American Board of Surgery.

Terry Scarborough, MD, FACS, graduated with honors from the University of New Mexico with a degree in pharmacy. After receiving his medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, Dr. Scarborough completed his surgical residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He has successfully completed over 4,000 laparoscopic surgical procedures, 1,000 of which were laparoscopic bariatric procedures. This experience has proved invaluable as he routinely trains surgeons all over the country in the proper completion of REALIZE® gastric banding procedures.
